Bamboo Root Flamingo Sculpture
A Flamingo sculpture, created from a single piece of Bamboo Root with its head, wings and tail feathers crafted from Sterling silver. The legs are made of steel and the sculpture is set on a black marble stand. Flamingos symbolize beauty, balance, and grace. Flamingos are also pink, which can be used to symbolize femininity and innocence, among other characteristics. Flamingos also tend to represent confidence.
Lotus Arts de Vivre sources its Bamboo Roots from China. This remarkable “Chinese Bamboo Tree” is different from most trees in that – while most trees grow steadily over a period of years, the Chinese bamboo tree doesn’t break through the ground for the first four years. Then, in the fifth year – the tree begins to grow at an astonishing rate – in just five weeks, a Chinese bamboo tree can grow to a height of 90 feet. Lotus Arts de Vivre combines the organic shape of the bamboo and the root, and then skilled artisans carve them into pieces of decor and design. Bamboo's long life makes it a Chinese symbol of uprightness, while in India it is a symbol of friendship. This piece took approximately 2 months to finish, with over 7 craftsmen and designers involved.
